To be a catalyst for accelerated circular economy innovation and growth, leveraging the complementarity in capabilities and opportunities among front-runners in Canada and The Netherlands.
To connect business, non-profit, research and government organizations, fostering a multi-dimensional ecosystem that translates circular principles into concrete actions through ongoing knowledge sharing, co-creation and collaboration.
The DCCA consists of the following components:
1. Monthly partner meetings:
partner or external presentations followed by in-depth discussions
2. Mini Centres of Excellence:
exchange of in-depth knowledge and expertise in a workshop format, integrating research and innovation in real-life situations.
3. Circular Living Labs (CILLS):
a practical stakeholder engagement process in order to test innovative technologies, products or services in a real-life setting (pilot or demonstration projects)
These components are supported by 2 committees:
Steering & Programming Committee works on programming of monthly partner meetings, publications, conferences and other events, steering the overall direction of the Alliance
Projects & Co-Creation Committee assists in the design and coordination of co-creation activities such as dedicated workshops and pilot/demonstration projects (aka Circular Living Labs)
